Big Bear Snow Trip

Sometimes the monotony of 70 degree sunny weather gets old and you want to play in the snow during the winter months. Luckily for us, there is a ski resort town in the San Bernadino mountains called Big Bear. So we borrowed some snow clothes from some friends for Rett, and Heather went to work on craigslist looking for snow clothes for the rest of us. As always, she found all the clothes we needed very quickly for a steal of a deal and we were ready to brave the snow. Because of my flexible school schedule, we were able to take a trip up the mountain (about 3 hours away) on a Thursday afternoon and stay overnight (cheaper hotels on Thursday, don't you know?). We played in the snow on Thursday and Friday (Did I mention this was the first time Rett had ever seen snow and the last time Coby saw it was when he was 3 months old?) Then when we were tired of the snow and cold weather, we drove down the mountain to return to sunny 70 degree weather, which turns out isn't so bad after all.

The only thing better than playing in the snow is eating doughnuts for breakfast!

Heather's Birthday

This year Heather wanted a nice dinner with friends for her birthday. Everyone was gracious enough to get babysitters and we spent a night out without any kids. First dinner, then bowling and the free arcade. We all had a great time.

I don't think I need to say who won bowling, but just in case I do need to say it, I won.
